Already have Athena? Run the downloaded file — it keeps your existing settings and signs you
in as before. Windows may warn about a newly published app; choose More info → Run anyway.
Install the Mac app, in three steps.1. Click Copy command.
2. Open Terminal — press ⌘ Space, type Terminal, press Return.
3. Paste and press Return. Athena installs into your Applications folder and opens
itself. Running the same command again is also how you update.
Why the Terminal. Apple charges a yearly fee to sign an app, and without that signature macOS
blocks anything a browser downloads. It does not block what Terminal fetches, so this one line is the
shortest route that is not blocked — the same way Homebrew and most developer tools install.
No Mac app on this server yet. Once an administrator publishes one it appears here, and this
page will hand you the one-line install command.
